This Christmas, I am ever so grateful that my hope rests not in my own ability to fight sin but in a Saviour who was born this very day in a very lowly manger and who will one day be put up on the Cross to redeem all.
I have never thought much about the phrase "in sin and error pinning". The word "pinning" is derived from pin. Sin and error is pinned and fastened onto us so wretchedly.
But in our weariness there lies our thrill of hope in the manger. Indeed we rejoice at this. The significance of this should never pass us by. Should never leave us unimpressed.
God help us all.
